How we handle & protect your information
We understand that our partners in the legal, clinical, and government sectors have a high standard of due diligence. For us, confidentiality is not just an ethical pledge; it is a structural and technical requirement.
What we collect: only what we need to help you.
Who sees it: only people you name in writing, such as your lawyer or a family member, plus the service providers that store or transcribe it for us. You can withdraw that permission in writing at any time.
Recordings: only with your written consent. In person we use a Plaud recorder; online we use Google Meet's recording.
AI tools: your identifying information never goes into general-purpose AI chat tools.
How long we keep it: business records such as agreements and invoices for 6 years, as tax rules require. Session notes and recordings follow a retention schedule we're setting with legal advice, then are deleted.
Limits: confidentiality yields when someone is at immediate risk of serious harm, when a child may need protection, or when a court orders disclosure.
